Should I fill up the rental RV’s fresh water tank completely before my trip?

No, you should fill up only as much water as you need till you get a chance to refill again. For example if you are driving 10 hours to your destination RV park then you should fill only 1/3rd of the RV’s fresh water tank. This will be adequate for any restroom and kitchen use for your journey.

If you fill up excess water then you will spend more fuel as RV is carrying additional weight of water, secondly it makes RV heavier and you may find it a bit more difficult to control the RV.
